Take notice that the Director of the Division of Consumer Affairs will conduct a public hearing for the purpose of eliciting input from the public on proposed amendments to N.J.A.C. 13:44D, the rules which regulate public movers and warehousemen. While sufficient public interest, as set forth in N.J.A.C. 13:1E-4.3, has not been evidenced through the comments the Director has received on the proposal to date (published in the New Jersey Register on May 5, 2003 at 35 N.J.R. 1764(a)), the Director believes that it would be in the interest of the public moving and warehousing community to hear their concerns regarding the proposed changes to N.J.A.C. 13:44D. The Director believes that a public hearing would provide an opportunity to gather information from movers and warehousemen and address any concerns they may have.
The hearing will be held on Friday, September 5, 2003 in the Hudson Room, 124 Halsey St., 6th Floor, Newark, NJ 07101. The hearing will begin at 10:30 A.M. The public hearing shall be conducted by a hearing officer. A verbatim transcript of the hearing will be prepared by a certified stenographic reporter. Interested parties may obtain a copy of the transcript by ordering it directly from the reporter at the hearing or thereafter.
